Cooperative Energy - Plant Morrow Repowering Project

Performance Contractors was contracted with Cooperative Energy to support the transformation of their coal-fired plants to natural gas in the Plant Morrow Repowering Project with the ultimate goal of making Plant Morrow one of the most efficient coal-to-gas heat recovery repower projects in North America.

During the execution of this project, Performance Contractors installed a 400 MW Siemens “advanced class” Gas Turbine, a Nooter Eriksen HRSG, and all balance of plant equipment/piping and instrumentation that effectively increased plant capacity and built efficiencies. Our project team worked closely with Burns & McDonnell and Cooperative Energy to reach Mechanical Completion by early 2022, followed by pre-commissioning and startup support services through the summer of 2022.
