Capital Area United Way hosted their 27th annual Jambalaya Jam, sponsored by the DOW Chemical Company, on Thursday, October 9 in the North Boulevard Town Square. Guests enjoyed sampling jambalaya from 49 cooking teams, entertainment by MoJEAUX and family-friendly activities such as the Knock Knock Museum’s Imagination Playground. The event raised approximately $71,700, which will benefit Capital Area United Way’s focus on education, income and health in the 10-parish area.‍

Awards were presented to the following:

• 1st place winner – Performance Contractors (reigning champions from 2013)
• 2nd place winner – Criterion Catalyst
• 3rd place winner – BASF
