Performance Contractors participated in the Toys-for-Tots drive to give back to the Port Neal Community. Employees at the CF Industries Iowa project came together in support for children in need during the holiday season. The campaign kicked off November 10, 2014 during the weekly All Hands Safety Meeting with a goal to donate 1,000 toys. The goal was later stretched to 1,400 toys.

Employees rallied with toys and dollars. A shopping team was assembled to manage the fundraiser—Carla Peterson, Trista Martin, Lindsay Burke, and Jessica Stratton. With Carla in the driver’s seat, and a support team including Dean Berdon, Chris Jones, Mike Toney, Quendal Hives, Derek Peterson, Trista Martin, Lindsay Burke, Jessica Stratton and a host of other Performance Contractors personnel collected a whopping 2,425 toys which is more than double the original goal. Multiple subcontractors as well as CF Industries and TKIS personnel participated in the fundraiser included Triad, Interstate Electrical, Boh Bros, Nelson, Deep South, Brock Scaffolding, Pittsburg Tank, Advanced Tank and Unity Point Medical. In the spirit of the season some employees donated their entire per-diem check.

The total amount of all donations exceeded $65,000. WOW!  This proves again, how generous the good folks are at Performance Contractors. Thanks to all Performance Contractors personnel, CF Industries and TKIS personnel and subcontractor personnel who donated to make this fundraiser such a huge success.
