Performance Contractors will be lighting up our buildings blue during the month of April to celebrate world autism awareness month. Light it Up Blue is a global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month. This program helps raise awareness throughout the globe about autism, early diagnosis and early intervention.

World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) has been celebrated on April 2 every year since 2007, when the United Nations adopted this as a global health issue. It is one of only three health issues that are recognized by the United Nations with its own day.

Autism Speaks funds research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism. Increasing the awareness of autism spectrum disorders, Autism Speak is actively advocating for individuals with autism and their families. Autism Speaks has committed $200 million into research and development of innovative studies for families. With partnerships in more than 40 countries the research initiative is global.
