‍Performance Contractors will be recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors for outstanding corporate safety and health plans and exhibit superior safety initiatives. The awards presentation will take place April 17, 2015 in Birmingham, AL. Performance Contractors will be receiving the 2015 Safe Day Gold

GBRIA Safety Excellence Awards‍

In March of 2015, The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc (GBRIA) announced its winners of the 19th Annual 2015 Contractors Safety Excellence Award. Performance Contractors received 1st Place in Division III for General Construction and Maintenance. This award recognizes companies who demonstrate a level of safety excellence that includes thousands and millions of hours worked without injury, a commitment by management to educate workers, and a culture where accidents do not happen. Performance Contractors also received the top award of the banquet, the 2015 Hal G. Ginn Safety Excellence Award for the best overall performance of all the nominees.

This awards banquet was started in 1996 under the leadership of Hal G. Ginn, Plant Manager of DSM Copolymer at the time, in an effort to recognize excellent safety performance by contractors working in industrial facilities. Ginn played an instrumental role as the chair of GBRIA in raising safety standards and expectations in industry in the Baton Rouge area, which has spread across the U.S. with other petrochemical and heavy industrial manufacturers.
