Performance Contractors, Inc. received a prestigious U.S. Department of Defense award honoring the leading industrial contractor’s commitment to supporting its employees across the country who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

The 2020 Pro Patria Award, bestowed by the DOD’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), is presented annually by each ESGR State Committee to companies that demonstrate significant support to Guard and Reserve employees through leadership and practices. It is the highest level honor awarded by an ESGR State Committee. 

“As a leader in the military, I’m proud to work for a company with such high respect for those who serve,” said Torrey Garrison, Performance Contractors Vice President of Environmental, Health and Safety / Leadership Development and a Major in the Air Force Reserve. “This honor means a lot to me personally and is a wonderful endorsement of the commitment I see every day at our company.”

In addition to supporting those who serve in the National Guard and Reserve, company representatives provide assistance as needed to an employee’s family during service periods. Performance Contractors also has a military hiring coordinator who helps recruit members of the military and provides programs to help ease the transition into civilian life. The company hosts community events to engage with members of the military and offers after-hour training programs to help veterans develop additional skills.
