Performance Contractors celebrates 45 years in business – serving as a local Baton Rouge company that has extended its reach around the country.

Founded in 1979, the business began as a merit shop general industrial contractor. Today, Performance is licensed to provide industrial construction, maintenance and turnaround services in 34 states across America.

“It is unique to have built the company we have without a single merger or acquisition in our 45-year history,” says President and CEO Kevin Courville. “We have thrived through our strong commitment to developing our talent from craft-workers into top executive leaders.”

Over the past 45 years, Performance Contractors has been celebrated throughout the industry for its commitment to excellence, safety and workforce development. Recently, Performance was recognized with the prestigious Pinnacle Award from ABC, the industry’s highest level of recognition for safety excellence, as well as being named the 2023 ABC National Contractor of the Year.
