Performance Contractors was recently named National Contractor of the Year by ABC. Awarded at the 33rd annual Excellence in Construction® Awards gala, this highly-coveted honor recognizes a single entity as an outstanding leader, innovator and executor of projects in the industry.
Performance Contractors is dedicated to the merit shop philosophy, a principle that ABC lives by, which is designed to ensure that the best person for the job is the one who gets the job. By putting the right people in the right places, the goal is to ensure that work is completed more safely, more efficiently and with greater quality.

In addition to National Contractor of the Year, Performance Contractors has received several other ABC accolades this year, including the National Safety Excellence Award and two Eagle Awards.
The National Safety Excellence award acknowledges those ABC members who have displayed exceptional achievements in the field of construction safety. The Eagle awards – the construction industry’s highest honor – were awarded for the Cooperative Energy RD Morrow Repower Project and the Valero - Diamond Green Diesel LPG to SMR Mechanical Project.
Lastly, eight Performance Contractors employees competed in the ABC National Craft Championships. Displaying superior skills, training and safe work practices, these talented employees competed for top honors in their chosen craft.
